| JOB PURPOSE | |||
| The job purpose of the Purchasing Officer position at State Diamond Trader is to build strong relations with registered diamond producers so that inspections and purchasing of rough diamonds by the State Diamond Trader are done as per the Diamond Act requirements. The Purchasing Officer position maintains a diverse range of business and diamond skills, as well as a detailed understanding of the South African market and diamond industry practices. | |||
| MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS | |||
| · Matric plus 3-year relevant tertiary qualification· Qualification in rough diamond valuation
· Must have 5 to 10 years’ experience on the similar role within the diamond industry · Proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role · Knowledge of the Diamond Act |
